Mikaela Lies joined SUHI in 2023 as a Senior Research Specialist on the Health Equity Research Evaluation team. In 2024, she was promoted to Epidemiologist I. Mikaela’s areas of focus are quantitative research, including data cleaning and analysis, survey research to improve the mental well-being of female-identifying youth in Chicago, and survey research to improve the well-being of Community Health Workers (CHWs).
Prior to joining SUHI, Mikaela was a project assistant at Loyola Chicago University (LUC), working on various community surveys conducted in the Cicero/Proviso area and providing quantitative data management and analysis support. Additionally, she held research positions on projects at LUC and the Emergency Medicine Global Learning Exchange. Mikaela is passionate about improving community health and achieving health equity through research and public health initiatives. |
