Professional Summary
Maddie Offstein (she/her) joined SUHI in 2024 as a Program Manager with the Health Equity Research Evaluation team. She focuses on maternal and child health, community engagement, gun violence prevention, and program evaluation. At SUHI, she supports initiatives addressing safe sleep education and pregnancy and infant loss, in addition to contributing to firearm violence research. Prior to joining SUHI, Maddie worked as a Research Associate at the University of Illinois Chicago’s Policy, Practice, and Prevention Research Center, where she conducted mixed methods research related to school health and wellness policy implementation. She also previously worked at Sinai Community Institute from 2019-2024, focusing on data analysis and reporting, coalition building, and maternal and child health initiatives. Maddie has additional experience in disability rights and public health advocacy through internships with organizations in Colorado and Washington, D.C. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences focused on public health, maternal and child health, and violence prevention. |
