Professional Summary

Kesha House-Pleasant joined SUHI in 2019 and currently serves as Manager of Grants and Operations.  Kesha oversees SUHI’s daily operations and business activities including office management and monitoring grants, budgets, contracts, finances, and human resources management. She helps create guidelines for department efficiency, onboards new staff, and communicates with the SUHI team, among other responsibilities.  She also completes invoicing and reporting for state, local, and federal grants.

Kesha has an extensive background with more than 30 years of operations experience starting in the banking industry. Prior to joining SUHI, she worked at Chicago Public School (CPS) as the Office Manager of an elementary school and later as Business Operations Coordinator of CPS’ corporate office.

Born and raised on Chicago’s West Side, Kesha has witnessed diabetes, violence, poor nutrition, untreated asthma, and drug addiction – the struggles and epidemics of many challenged urban communities. From this exposure and experience, Kesha works tirelessly to carry out SUHI’s goals and vision of all communities thriving in health.
