Professional Summary
Kim Jay joined SUHI in 2012 and currently serves as the Training Manager and Senior Community Health Worker. She is a CHW leader within SUHI and Sinai Chicago, a key member of the Center for CHW Research, Outcomes, and Workforce Development (CROWD), and an advocate for the CHW workforce across Chicago, Illinois, and the nation. Kim supports the implementation of CROWD’s training contracts, including curriculum development, facilitation, logistics, client communication, and quality assurance. She collaborates with the training development team to deliver high-quality, engaging, and participatory training for CHWs and supervisors. Kim also provides consulting services to organizations implementing CHW models and contributes to contract development and execution. Her focus areas include chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and community-based workforce development. Prior to joining SUHI, Kim worked in community health education and outreach roles across Chicago. In 2014, she received the national Real Award from Save the Children for contributions to the medical and public health workforce. And in 2024 Kim received the CHW of the year award from the America Public Health Association. |
