| Jeanette Avila joined SUHI in 2006 as a Reasearch Assistant for a community health worker led, home based asthma intervention. In her current role as Manager, Community Health Innovations, Jeanette provides management and leadership support to community health worker activities for cancer prevention navigation and supportive oncology programs. She is responsible for staff supervision, program management, monitoring team caseloads, maintaining her own caseload, and ensuring navigation efficacy.
Prior to joining SUHI, Jeanette worked for the Illinois Action for Children Public Policy & Advocacy Program as an associate where she organized childcare providers around early learning issues in the Chicago metropolitan area. |
