Professional Summary

Carmen Curet joined SUHI in 2024 as Sinai Chicago’s (Sinai) Government Grant Compliance Manager in the Office of Government Grants Administration (OGGA) where she works to identify and develop tracking systems to ensure compliance with federal, foundation, and private grants. Carmen provides technical assistance and educational support to investigators, directors, and grant managers; oversees their compliance efforts; and works with OGGA’s director to assure policies and procedures across Sinai are current to support and document compliance. She works with grant development efforts to ensure compliance is properly incorporated into proposals and supports the director in planning and collaborative efforts with OGGA and Sinai entities.

Before joining SUHI, Carmen was the Executive Director of the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation for nearly eight years. She has served many communities in affordable housing, workforce initiatives, youth development, and education. Carmen managed multi-state federal contracts in the private sector, including medical staffing at Walter Reed Hospital and VA hospital in Columbia, Mo., and clerical staffing at the General Services Administration, FAA, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
