Adlaide Holloway joined SUHI in 2015 as a Community Health Worker specializing in asthma interventions where she conducted home visits, providing participants with education, support and how to have an “asthma friendly” home. Adlaide has worked on various programs to provide asthma and diabetes education and support, including serving as a lifestyle coach for the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program. Adlaide was promoted to Senior CHW Consultant and Trainer in 2022, facilitating trainings for SUHI’s CROWD (Center for CHW Research, Outcomes and Workforce Development). She is also a co-chair on several community councils and CHW advancement organizations such as the Greater Lawndale Healthy Work Project and the Illinois CHW Association’s Workforce Development Workgroup.
Coming from a customer service background, Adlaide’s favorite part was getting to know and connect with customers. She hopes to be an advocate for everyone she works with and those who need assistance and support in general, aiming to help individuals and families have overall health and balance. |
