American Dental Association: The Value of a Community Dental Health Coordinator

In collaboration with the American Dental Association, SUHI conducted an evaluation of a Community Dental Health Coordinator (CDHC) program at a Federally Qualified Health Center in New York. A CDHC is a community health worker with training in dental hygiene. The goal was to understand the value of the program and identify opportunities to reduce oral health inequities and promote equitable access to dental care.
