The Chicagoland CEAL Program offers free training to support CHWs in addressing vaccine reception. In partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), SUHI hosts two, three-hour training sessions to educate CHWs about COVID-19 and how to use motivational interviewing as a tool to support decision making. In addition, SUHI introduces and reinforces essential CHW skills such as effective communication and cultural humility. These free trainings are available in English and Spanish to anyone in the Chicagoland area.
